I'm upgrading and have a Sparkle 235w PSU
3.3v 14A
5v 22A
12v 8A which I'm sure won't be able to cope with my new kit :-

ECS L7VTA mobo + 512MB PC2700
Athlon XP2000
GeForce4 MX440 64MB DDR
DVD drive
40/16/48 CD/RW
80 gig Maxtor ATA133
3-4 USB devices

For a replacement PSU, the QTec 550W Gold PSU seems to get good reviews as a budget option,
Will it cope with my new setup ?

The actual 3.3v, 5v, 12v specs for the QTec don't seem to be available anywhere ? Does anyone know them ?

Any comments / suggestions ?

Thanks - just out of interest - do you know the actual 3.3v, 5v, 12v specs ?

£26.66 inc. VAT and delivery ! Excellent !

Please make sure you get this PSU off the Web, I have just fitted one in a friends PC and was shocked to see it in Maplins at £79.00. I paid only £20.00 or so.

If you are wanting quality rather than price, go for Enermax. Excellent all round PSU's and cant fault quality or stability.
