Can any ps2 user tell me the difference with a
original game and a platinium version of the
same game and which would you buy.

there is no difference in the games, just price and packaging

Agreed with the above. Platinum versions of games means that they have sold over 500,000 or 1 million copies (depends on what level the publisher company sets it as). So this means that the game is just cheaper than normal and with the Platinum label slapped onto the packaging.
