You may like to do a bit more research on the ram as I beleive 2Gb is going to become the norm for a gaming machine.Battlefield 2 is an example.

Dont take this as gospel though

I'd suggest a 2nd hard drive, or instead of the 250Gb SATA drive, 120+120Gb or 160+160Gb SATA drives.

Also, as the DVD±RW would write CDs, the 52x32X52 CD-RW is not really necessary (or is it?).

What monitor - make & model - are you thinking of?

The prices are from Scan click here, if anyone needs to know.

It should be a cracking system, but you already realise this, don't you : )). Once it's built, you'll be back to tell us how it performs & what your relative thinks, won't you? G

I propse that you scrap the 7 in 1 card reader and go with their 17 or 19 in 1 card reader, they are not that much more expensive and will give better scope to future technologies that you may buy.

Also I would suggest another 1 or 2 120mm internal case fans, you can always modify the case if required, the more cooling the better, especially on a system of that spec, or alternitively look into water cooling solutions, as this takes away much more heat and leaves your system better able to perform.

I agree that you should now be looking at 2GB or more of XMS memory for the system :)

I hope this helps :)

Dump the CD-RW and go for a combo, pretty much the same price, write CDs at the same speed, but allow DVD copies.
Alternatively, seeing as DVD-RW are only about £10 more expensive, use 2 DVD-RWs
