Can anyone reccommend a UK product for screen capture software with edit and share facilities. Need to produce training manuals, paper and on screen. I know there are a lot out there but have no idea if any good. Thanks.

Not UK I'm afraid, but have a look at Snagit by Tech Smith. I have used it for a long while when compiling instructions etc. Has a great advantage as far as I am concerned in that one can annotate screen grabs.

assumin you meant the basiv captur of screen imahe [Ctrl/PrtScr

Any good Graphics editor will handle screen capture
items these being simply Bitmap or JPEG captures.
So the Free picasa or photofiltre or a paid for item of which there are many
Photoshop Elements, Paintshop Pro, ane of the host of Serif products.
I have been trawling my collection of utilities of a 'screen movie' program that I once had that allowed the cursor to travel and folders open to windows- but it eludes me at the moment.
If I can recall it I will come back

is called Faststone Capture for Windows and can be dowloaded from click here

Does most of what I used to use Snagit for, and is free for home use.

It's a slick piece of kit with a small footprint.

It even has a built-in editor program for modifying the captured image, such as adding call-outs or annotations etc.

The reason I use it, it's a "portable application", meaning it needs no "installation" on the PC, so will run happily from a USB stick.

I'm not in any way connected with Faststone, it's just that I like this program
