Hello, below I have posted a description of the PC I am looking to purchase from pc specialist. I have tried to make the pc as advanced as money can stretch so as to avoid changing my pc within the next 3 years?

I'm studying computer games development (final year) and will be modelling characters and animations and generally playing games on the pc mainly.

I would just like your in depth thoughts on my choices. Please comment on the company pc specialist as a whole as I am a first time buyer. The mother board, graphics card, price etc. All this core 2 duo is a bit over my head but I have been doing my and recognise it as next gen technology? Anyway be as brutally honest I can take it. Thank you!

Good spec, hard drive is a little thin for the spec and what you intend to do. I'd go for a 250-300gb disc and bin the 56k modem.

try this in google ,complaints about pcspecialist.

then try the same with mesh computers.

First of all sounds like a great course - wish something like that had been available in my day!

The spec looks very balanced, perhaps with the exception of the HDD. Current applications including games can eat up hard disk space and I think the additional cost for a 300gb disk is minimal in comparison to overall system cost.

My PC was built by PC Specialist. Order process was easy and was kept advised of progress with a final text message to my mobile when system was dispatched. Took 10 working days from order to receipt. Build quality is good and certainly for price I paid very pleased. I would buy again from them.

On their website is a testimonials section. There are lots of posts here mainly all positive. Where things have gone wrog the company appear to have rectified things quickly.

Hope this helps.
