Get the memory card reader it will come in very handy, get a dvd rom too for copying on-the-fly and it will help extend the life of your dvd-rewriter.

I would also opt for 2 smaller hdds than one big one, putting the page file on the second of the disks.

actually it all sounds very good(other than the vid card i already said) the hd is fine just with one, either if u noe hwo to get raid(soemtimes very diffuclt) or get an hd with 16mb it makes a difference. u can get two 160gig seagates for a total of 100-120 bucks and run those in raid and it will give u a perforfomance boost in regular daily work and in games!(it makes a big iffernce in games) but make sure u go raid 0!
