Hi dagnammit

I have had one for about 4 months. I am very pleased with it and the pictures it produces. It is small, reasonably light and will fit in your pocket. The only downside is the lack of a view finder which in bright sunlight would he helpful, however having said that the lcd screen is bright and perfectly adequate under most circumstances.

Fantastic camera with a superb lens, the optical zoom sets it above the rest. Go for it!

I started with the TZ-1 and passed that to my youngest daughter when she dropped her HP 3Megapixel one. Now I have the TZ3. and Haven't had any prob;lems with it. The battery life is excellent and the camera will hold an 8gig HCSD card.

I also own the FZ-18.

We are panasonic fans in this household. (No affiliation with the comp-any)

You get a free 8gb memory pen (it appears in your basket when you add the camera) and if you click "view basket" enter JESSOPS10 as it knocks 10% off the £195 making it £176.15.

Let us know what you think of it when you have had a chance to use it.

Kevscar, in a word, no. The TZ5 is probably in a class of its own & is something of a 'premium' model in its class/type. Whereas the Fujifilm S1000fd you linked to is more of a 'budget' super-zoom/bridge-type camera. Read some indepedent reviews for both to get a better picture (no pun intended!).

What are you mainly looking for in a digital camera? Image-quality, super-zoom lens, portability, other? G
