It had to happen, Orange take over Wanadoo and up go the prices. New customers see it on the website but existing customers see it in their bills.

From 24 July 2006 you'll be charged 1p a min at weekends, 2p a min Mon–Fri 6 pm-6 am, and 4p a min Mon-Fri 6 am–6 pm

And they said nothing would change for existing customers!!

Switch..:-)

Plenty of telecoms providers.

Watch out if you have an existing monthly contract.Tucked at the bottom of the June statements was the notice that in future a charge of £1.50 would be made for an itemised bill.If you do not want to pay this, but just receive a summary, you have to telephone or text Orange. I wonder how many people are going to end up paying this extra charge by default through not checking their current bill.Surely a fairer, and more above board way would be to have customers opt in to the extra charges.

Orange didn't takeover Wanadoo, they always owned it, it's just a rebranding exercise. Not that this helps with the price hike though. I suppose somebody has to pay for all the new artwork and letterheads the chief exec now has to use.

Just another way of saying, convert to broadband. PAYG is now old hat and none profit making!.
