NTL - possible to subscribe to just 1 channel?

  VNAM75 21:16 23 Aug 2006

I currently have ntl 2mb broadband and want to subscribe to one of their foreign language channels (£5.88 per month). Is this possible or do have to have one of their tv packages then add this as an extra. I just want to pay £5.88 per month for that channel.

Would I need any extra installation? ie. cabling, though I already have a cable line for my broadband.

Hi VNAM75,

As a Telewest customer I would have to say it's impossible as you would need a decoder box and subscription at least to the minimum TV package.

You'll most probably need to take their phone service as well.....

Looking at their Select Pack at £5.50 a month click here, it says: "*Price excludes £11.00 phone line rental which you must take with your TV Pack".

To be sure, would be best to call them I reckon (click here)

OK thanks, I will phone them. Don't need a phone nor do I really want any extra channels. Normal TV is quite enough. Just want the PCNE channel so I can learn some Mandarin.
