Accepted that there are other free products of a similar nature how does ntl rate?
I am investigating in case that 91 year old Pops of mine does decide to invest in a PC.
More than likely he will go ntl, although present he has bt line.
NTL advantage over others is a complete TV/Telephone/Broadband service and a help(?) line.

Not sure about pro & cons of BT as I am NTL and had very little hassle with them

I am with NTL - and find them very good.

Netguard is a free anti-virus program that is available to NTL customers only. I did try it out a couple of weeks ago - it worked OK but I found it slowed down the 'saving' of games.

I took this matter up with NTL, but they could not provide a solution - I uninstalled the program and installed AVG (free) - no problem with it and it updates itself automatically each day.

i downloaded ntl netguard to try it, but removed it, nothing wrong with it, but it slowed my pc right down,it took ages to load, hope this helps.
