The question i have is the I7 worth the extra money. I will be looking to get a new GPU in the next couple of months. In the main i will be using the PC for general work and some video ripping but i would also like to game on it now and again.

The 2 units come in at the flowing price

i5 £335 and the i7 £430.

please let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks
Scott.

The i7 is better for video editing and high end gaming.

Having said that the i5 will perform more than sufficiently, it comes down to whether you want to spend the extra.

I agree with bremner. I do a lot of video editing and bought a new i5 PC from Novatech last July. I thought about the i7 but decided the extra cost wasn't worth it. The i5 copes very well and I haven't regretted my decision. Of course, if I tried the i7, I might change my mind but that's something I'll never know.
