Hi guys noticed a few new pc threads been popping up the last few days and i've been recently looking at finally upgrading my gaming pc for a new rig. So far im looking for a machine that will play games with decent fps while not being seriously overkill yet retaining some lifetime as long as possible before another upgrade.

The specs i have come up with so far are -

cpu - Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66 GHz 4Mb Cache ram - 2GB Corsair Memory DDR2 800 2x1Gb HDD - 250Gb SATA Hard Drive
PSU - Corsair 450Watt PSU
GPU - 320Mb Nvidia 8800GTS graphics card DX10
Motherboard - XFX N680-ILT SLI 1333fsb-DDR800x4 SLI motherboard

quoted at just under £700 from cougar extreme

My main concern is tothat i may have create a few bottle necks is the system thus wasting some of potential, any help or advise would be great!

p.s still undecided if i will pay out extra for a raptor hd and put it in a raid to allow faster speeds

Archlos, check out Novatech, i bought a pc from them in October '07 and i find it's well worth the money, it doesn't cost anything to take a look.Let us know what you decide on and good luck.

mmm i dunno ive been looking around a lot including novatech mesh and even pc specialist. I dont liek novatech doesnt seem to give you enough custom ability on your desktop choice
