Hi Guys
My laptop died last week. taken it to a shop and they have said the motherboard has gone, and cannot be replaced. So after speaking to my father he can get fujitsu computers through his company slightly cheaper. though not to sure which one to go with. the basic stats for each are as follows:
laptop 1: Fujitsu AMILO M 1437G
intel centrino with intel pentium M processor 740 (2MB l2 cache, 1.73Ghz, 533MHz)
512 DDR II Ram
80GB SATA Hard Drive
15.4 TFT Crystal View Screen
ATi Radeo x700 PCI express graphics with 128Mb dedicated VRAM
etc etc

Laptop 2: Fujitsu AMILO M 3438G
intel centrino with intel pentium M processor 760 (2MB l2 cache, 2.0Ghz, 533MHz)
1024Mb DDR II Ram
80GB SATA Hard Drive
17 TFT Crystal View Screen
nVidia GeForce Go 6800 PCI Express graphics with 256MB dedicated VRAM
along with other spec!

I know a little bit about computers and laptop 2 seems better, though has a slightly bigger screen and is 1Kg heavier.

Just a little bit of advice would be great and much appricated. thanks

If you don't mind the extra weight, than the larger screen and better all round specs of the second Fujitsu for a bit of futureproofing seem the much better bet.

Providing, of course, you can't do better elsewhere, perhaps involving a different make...:-)

fraid only have the choice of those 2.
