Can anyone please help and advise?

Ive done a little more research and i now know what i want my new laptop to have (ideally) but still unsure about a couple of techie things.

1. I want to browse the net - with several tabs and flicking between them
2. I want built in wireless for my broad band
3. I want DVD / CD to play and write and re write to
4. I want Built in web cam
5. I want XP ideally
6. 1 year warranty min
7. Should it be a dual processor?
8. Min HD 100mb?
9. Does it have to be Intel?
10 What clock speed GHz should i be getting?
11 Is 2mb ram sufficeient but get space for more?

Anything else i shoudl ask for?

I think points 2,3 and 6 would be standard on most decent spec machines.
Point 1 is simply software, IE7, Opera and I think, Firefox all provide tabbed browsing.
I think XP will reduce your options, as most new laptops seem to come with Vista, although XP machines can still be found but your choice will be limited.
no it doesn't have to be Intel, there are many AMD processors out there, but whoi is better, if anyone, varies from machine to machine, often dependent on other spec.
I'd be looking for around the 2Ghz speed range, minimum and maybe 3Mb RAM, but it all depends what you want the laptop for?
