New Laptop

  User-1315991 16:21 14 Dec 2008

I'm just entering the scary world of being a teacher and so could really do with a laptop.

Basically I could do with something that will let me work on the move, with half decent specs. I would also love it if it could run current games (though I've just built a new desktop which eats crysis at full settings so it doesn't need to be crazy).

my max budget is £800 but being a desktop geek I havn't the faintest idea what's good in a laptop and want to have something with decent value for money

Cheers for any help

Most schools(Secondery) these days will provide will supply a laptop or may source it for you. Worth talking to your IT department especially if you plan to connect it to their network.

Also they may also have licences for software that covers teachers and support staff further reducing the cost of your system. My mate works in a school and he has just updated to Vista for free as the school pays for a licence that covers staff at hime.
