Hi All,

I want to replace my current AGP garphics card with something a little more versatile, namely:-

1) With a DV out
2) AGP
3) That can easily import video, tv etc to burn to DVD
4) Light on cost
5) 4 x AGP (speed on motherboard)

My current system is

Athlon xp 2600 - xp pro - g-force 2 64mb - 512mb - 120gb hdd - 250gb USBhdd - 19" neovo TFT

Many thanks for any help

Try PCworld, they were today celling a PNY GeeforceFX 128mb for £79-99,a £20 discount off their normal selling price.

That should be Geeforce FX5700 128mb

Check click here for TV capture cards.

The 'Leadtek WinFast VC100 XP Video Capture Device' looks good for the money with MPEG I and II hardware encoding (MPEG4 software encoding only). Inputs include Composite/Svideo as well as the usual RF (aerial).

Other graphics cards (more suitable for gaming) have the same composite/svhs inputs also but not all. They're usually marked VIVO I believe but check this as I'm not up on the lingo.

8xAGP graphics cards will be backwards compatible with 4X motherboards (they'll just run at x4 speeds).
