Hiya,

I am looking into buying a new camera i love the one i have but i keep loosing all of the little sd cards that it has and it wont take a bigger one. It is a Kodak DX 7630. I love the feel of it and how it opperates since i am a novice at the whole picture taking thing. So can anyone give me some suggestions on what to upgrade to as in for size and handling and such. Yall help would be much appreciated.

Looking at the specs for your camera it seems it will take up to 512mb SD/MMC cards which will hold quite a lot of pictures depending on the quality you choose

I'm doing similar research and have discovered the Canon S95 is due out soon. It's the successor to the S90 which had good reviews. S95 estimated to be c.£350 and due mid-end Aug.

Tere are newer models TZ7, TZ8 but this does the job very well and can be found at about £180 or so, excellent little camera and results.

Bear in mind that many new cameras do not have a viewfinder relying solely on the screen

This can be a major problem in bright sunlight and, personally, I have resisted buying a camera without being able to use a viewfinder

You're quite right. Wife got a new camera recently and we could not find a compact camera with viewfinder.

Iagree with iscanut. Panasonic /Lumix are very good - very slim for pocket or handbag.
