Yeah, that External 160Gb HD is very tempting for £89.99!

Considering that very item myself. I believe you have to get in the store very early to stand a chance with these special offers. Maybe someone can confirm this? My nearest store is currently some thirty miles away, but thankfully a new Aldi store is being built within walking distance of me. I shouldn't miss out then!! :o) TC.

I've heard that too.

My local store is about 3 miles away and I've popped in on the way to work before now when they've not had any PC related offers and there was still a queue!

I paid 100 quid for mine last week, and it was a separate, a caddy and a hard drive. It appears to be very good value indeed.

seems like a good offer, but there are a lot of them about at the moment. Would be a definate buy for me if it had widescreen display.

Has anyone had any issues from buying similar deals from Aldi in the past? Is it the manufacturer who sorts all the support?

  zincy 14:25 01 Sep 2004

anyone got my spec for the external hard disk?
what speed? memory cache? the 19 TFT and the hard disk seems very tempting to me......

The manufacturer normally; Aldi just sells them as part of an agreement, just as it has with Medion, a rebranding organisation in Germany which might well have set up the overall laptop deal.

In Tesco's case it's Time systems and, among others, HP and Canon printers.

Gericom is a German company and the UK link is:
