My price range is £500 to £1,000.
Need PC to do mostly for surfing the net.
Also for folding @ home project so dual or quad core cpu would be better.
Not much gaming, but decent graphics card for picture editing etc.
Decent size HDD/s & possibly RAID 0 or 1?
Would prefer Blu-Ray drive & DVD-RW?

Not looking at Mesh or PCWorld!

Novatech seem popular among users of these forums.

Novatech are indeed a good option along with several other. You might want to put some thought into the spec computer you want though. The uses you've listed could result in a number of completely different computer specs.

Try Cougar Extreme

Don't you have an independent computer system builder outlet in your area?

If you do have any problems with a new system, much easier to get them sorted out quickly and the experience will almost certainly be far more personal and friendly.

whatever you get a nvidia graphics card is better for folding.
