I have been wanting to buy a gaming pc for a very long time now. But as you know new hardware is always being developed and released, so i dont know if i should just go for it or wait a bit longer.

I found a PC from with the following specs and is £584.10

Intel® Core™ 2 Quad-Core™ Processor Q6600 (2.40GHz, 8MB, 1066MHz)

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium

3072MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024/2x512]

640gb hard drive 7.200(2x320)

512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT card

First of all, i dont know much about computers but
am not sure if the "8800GT 512MB" is that good of a graphics card as i heared good and bad things about it. I could probably pay around £170 more and get the "8800GTX 768 MB" which is quiet good.

The other choice i guess is waiting a while longer and get something better. Scan 3xs is being released and my reduce the price of the older type of pc's but am not sure.

I appreaciate all the advice you can give me.

thank you
