I have just finished a year with Namesco broadband and it was continually going off line.The help line staff were usually helpful but some did not seem to know what was going on.I have changed to Plus net which seems much more professional

I have been with Namesco for 4 years and have never had any downtime due to them , and never had a problem with support either . Emails answered within 24 hours
Support is also available 365 days a year .
But there it is "one mans Meat is another mans poison"

I think grumpygramp's use of "due to them" (Namesco) hits the nail on the head. Like the majority of ISPs, and apart from their internal servers etc, Namesco are entirely dependent upon BT Wholesale for a satisfactory broadband service to the consumer. And if you're not with BT, they (BT) have no incentive to provide a satisfactory service do they?
