Aldi is staging another computer based special offers session from Thursday, March 30th, including the Medion MD 8800 base station PC at £750.

Full specification from the link at:

click here (which also details Medion refurbished 27in LCD TVs for £450).

Other offers include a Medion 17in multimedia LCD monitor at £140, flatbed scanner at £50 and an external 250GB hard drive at £100.

The base station is likely to prove very popular as with earlier similar machines.

The Medion MD8800 first went on sale 24 November 05 for the same price. click here As did the TFT which I bought then and the hard drive.

I would buy one myself but my 8080 is still under warranty until this November so I'll have to wait :(

The refurbished 27in LCD is cheaper than on its own website...:-)

Wasn't aware of that - the details came in an Aldi four page flyer sent out with the local freebie newspaper last night; states available from Thursday, March 30th, from 9am.

It does look a good offer but i see no credit cards for payment only debit cards.

  jakimo 17:21 25 Mar 2006

Aldi will not accept credit cards for any purchases in there stores

  Stuartli 19:04 25 Mar 2006

It took Aldi quite a long time to even get round to accepting debit cards...:-)

Probably due to the fact that its low profit margins would be further hit by accepting such cards.

Would it put you off buying with debit card, and i see the pc comes with 1024mb of ram with 1 bank free does this mean its upgradable to 2gb of ram and no more.

You can get Aldi's offers anytime by clicking on their site click here The same goes for Lidl which sometimes has computer related offers. ..Bingalau..
