Monitor Advice

I am looking to replace my monitor which is several years old and on its last legs. I'm after a 17" LCD monitor but I have no idea what I should be looking for. I use my computer for Internet & video editing so I don't need anything too high spec. I've seen two so far but I was hoping someone could tell me what I should be looking for and maybe recommend a monitor if these 2 aren't up to scratch. I wouldn't want to spend more than £150.

This one goes on sale at Aldi on the 24th for £140.

Have a look in the super specials section of click here Both my son and I have the 17" Digimate LCD monitor which has an excellent picture and good quality build. There are some good offers on Dell monitors there too. You can read reviews from people who have bought the monitors as well.

Buy new, not refurbished

Trawl round the reviews, go and look in PCWorld

You can buy 19" in Argos for under £190 (Acer AL1912)

Can you wait till the Jan sales, or at least until the week before Christmas?
