Mobile BB price ad on top of page

  tb64 21:18 12 Sep 2008

I clicked on the ad to compare mobile BB packages and followed the link to the T Mobile offer of unlimitrd downloads for £10/month at 4.5MB.

When you actually get to the link the offer is £10/month for 3 months and then £15 but it has a cap of 3MB.

How do they get away with stating one thing on one page and something different on another?????

As I read your post there is an ad compare online site to the right not at the top. Which is the you used?

It was on the top of the 'Consumerwatch' page. As opposed to the 3 one at the side.

Because it is only £10 per month, but for 3 months. They all advertise in a like manner. They dident hide it in the small print.

I think the point being made is the advertised offer is UNLIMITED mobile BB for £10 a month, but when you get to the order pages you notice that UNLIMITED has suddenly been capped to 3gb a month.

That's something that annoys me greatly, how can they get away with putting a limit on something that's advertised as unlimited...

They throw a hook to catch the fish. If the bait is good they catch you.

But then it makes the company look dishonest, or has the information been 'misinterpreted'?
