Microwarehouse was one of PC World Business ( Part of DSG ) main competition from the business side of the market, SOHO, VARS, Resellers, etc.
Microwarehouse has a loyal and big business customer base. It is this profitable base that PC World Business is after, as its own PCWB does lack that elite customer base that Microwarehouse had.

Some of you may recall, DSG bought out Byte Computers as it was deemed to be a threat to them.

This is bad news. Not for the reasons you may think I mean - the involvement of PCW but purely from the fact that a good business has been absorbed into something bigger and much less flexible which gives the customer reduced choice where to shop and, no doubt eventually, a reduced choice of what to buy.

There are far too many of these leviathans around in all trades and businesses -and they're getting more. It is not a good thing.
