Metronet basic download allowance increased

Metronet run a PAYG BB service. You pay a minimum basic fee each month (£13.75 for 1Mb) and then you pay more depending on how much you use the connection up to a maximum fee of £26 (but the download limit is not capped only the fee).

Included in the £13.75 used to be 1Gb of downloads, it's now gone up to 2Gb.

So far (6mths) I've found the service excellent with no downtime. They have also inlcuded an ISP side firewall and basic filtering option for free.

I will have been with Metronet for 2 years in a couple of weeks time. The service just keeps getting cheaper! I am also on 1 Meg so will now only have to pay £13.75 a month as I rarely go over 2 Gig.

Just to add, you only pay 0.235p per MB over your included usage allowance, unlike other providers who charge in blocks. Once you reach 7535 MB the cost cap (not usage cap) kicks in.
