Is there any way for me to find out if the AMD64 3000+ CPU is a (Newcastle based cpu)??

I not 100% sure of what the difference of an AMD64 3000+ AND A AMD64 3000+ (Newcastle), If indeed there is any??

The reason why I ask is that on a few hardware forums when the CPU is recomended is is described as AMD64 3000+ (Newcastle).

Thanks.

The chips we supply are Newcastle based.

If you visit the CPUID site (click here) you can download CPU-Z, a tool for obtaining information about the CPU, RAM and Motherboard which can confirm the model you have.

I hope this helps.
