at-derby: Two importand specs are missing for a laptop... type of battery, and weight of machine.
Also note a 15.4in widescreen has a smaller area than a traditional 3:4 aspect.
My Medion desktop was good value but I found embedded AOL irritating to remove.
I keep pointing out that Medion is not a manufacturer - it rebadges a wide range of specialist manufacturers' products under its own name and uses its distribution arrangements with outlets such as Aldi to sell them.
A vast number of computer related products are, in fact, rebadged and sold under well known brand names - very few companies can manufacturer everything they sell.
I don’t know if you have been able to actually handle it or look at it, I have and came away with the feeling that it would not have made me part with £1000 which is what it is said to have retailed at.
I think you must put the sale price out of your consideration and look at what you are actually getting for the money.
Compare it with what else is around at this price
Presently their are some very good £500 lap tops offers around such as Dell or Acer to name but two.
dont know how long it will last
in search box type N11602a
when that model appears go down and change warranty fro 3 years to one year then continue and when you go to checkout 15% is deducted making it £498.** you get a centrino processor and double the memory of the medion
ive just had a look at the dell info,
which card would you recomend?
Intel® Media Accelerator 900 Graphics Up to 128MB shared system memory or
ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X300 64MB HyperMemory or the
128MB DDR ATI MOBILITY® RADEON® X300
and what processor would i need for which?
seriously thinking about the dell now
on what you are gonna use the machine for. Shared memory is fine for office programmes but if you want to use it for programmes that are more graphic power hungry then you will need a dedicated graphics card
dell upgrades apparently not financially viable so if you dont need games support for graphics then dont change the basic spec. the integrated intel 900 is pci-e and directx9 capable whatever that means
