MBS Billing

  spag001 20:45 06 May 2007

Like many others my computer has been infected with this MBS Billing Trojan Virus that connects you to a porn site you have never even visited! I have used the ewido website spyware scan and got rid of the virus, however, I am still getting a box appear on my screen with the MBS Billing Account Summary, billing me for £39.99. When this message appears, an MBS Account Manager icon appears on my desktop as well. Does anyone know how to stop this and does it mean that the virus has not been deleted from the hard drive? Also, can anyone recommend a good site that provides free spyware scans that would delete virus's such as this one?

I have just managed to remove all mbs stuff from my pc thanks to the thread from fhiufhrefyer on 31/10/06. it took me ages as 'm a novice but got there in the end. (so far so good)
I can't see how it is legal for this firm to dowload trojans to any pc.
I work for the police, reported this and still they would not remove it. I'm going to check it out further.

on this subject, and we don't need another one. Please use the links provided by the other forum members to get help.

A couple of points worth making:

1. This is not a Trojan.

2. It is not a virus.
