lost computer

Just read news item.My laptop was lost when sent for repair to pc world.They sent me £450 that I did not want but no letter of apology.I have phoned and e mailed without reply.What should I do next.

Not being funny here but if they admit it was lost then surely what you would expect is your money back?

Is that not the case?

Or is it because they never appologised?

What exactly happened. Your laptop was faulty and was sent off for repair then out of the blue you receive a check for £450 that just says they lost it?

I think any claim would have to be based on value of laptop, inconvenience andc loss of use caused through their error. Could be a lot more than amount paid by PC World but without details could not comment on their settlement.
