In direct comparison to wjrt's link with the Dell 1700, if you configure this one click here to the spec below you can get it for just under £600 delivered:

Main specs:

- Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7250
- Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium [not Ultimate]
- 1Yr Basic Warranty
- 17.0" Widescreen WXGA+
- Matte Jet Black with 2.0 mega pixel camera [Webcam]
- 3072MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [THREE GB]
- 160GB (5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive
- 256MB nVidia® GeForce® 8600M GT

You can play about with the specs to meet your needs & budget - e.g. the graphics can be reduced if not required to get more hard drive space instead, upgrade to a TrueLife screen (check this info first click here), etc.

Get a further 10% discount by using the voucher F83HW0S41J$6FS (valid from 25-27 Feb, 2008) - ~£50, & 5% cashback by going through Quidco click here - ~£25. FINAL price: ~£ for £700 you should be able to get substantially more. Or, you may want to spend what you've saved on something else that your daughter or family may need. G
