Can someone please just point me in the right direction as I'm starting to going around in circles and I no longer know if I should be looking at clock speed, FSB, RAM, size of hard disk, dual processor etc etc etc... I basically have a budget up to £699 for a laptop which I'm mainly going to use for word, excel, powerpoint, the internet, itunes, and a small amount of photo editting. I've wittled it down to 10 laptops which I've pasted below and would like somebody to simply say "go for laptop ...." or maybe say "I wouldn't go for laptop....."

any help would be really appreciated

as far as their relative prices go, but if I had to choose one I would prbably go for the HEWLETT PACKARD DV2036

Why? Because it's well-specified, and I've used HP laptops for years; I've come to know them as reliable, well-built machines.

I've also had several Toshiba laptops, and have been impressed by them, as well.
