Laptop, Chromebook, Notebook help choosing

Hi All,

I am looking for help in narrowing down the field of tech for my purpose and hope someone can help. I am looking for something to do the following:

  • Word/Spreadsheet Docs
  • Internet browsing/Streaming
  • GoPro Software, preferably something that I could link to a 4K TV for doing such editing
  • Portable/Lightweight/Long battery life
  • Ideally 11-13" screen & under £300

I am open to any suggestions so your help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

You'll need a lot more than £300 to achieve what you want.

Chrome Books do not do any Windows Software.

Notebooks generally tend to be underpowered and are good only for the simplest of tasks, Internet, Word Processing and Movies, but using Google Software.

So, to my mind, it has to be a laptop, but you'll need a starting point of around £500 and still may not achieve all your desires

Thank you for your reply wee eddie. shall have to rethink and revise my budget to £500. Is there anyone in particular at this price range that you would recommend?

What was good today is going to be superseded tomorrow. Read some of the threads here about buying laptops and move from there.

Use Google and read some of the online reviews but remember that they are all out of date. You will usually a better Specification/Cost balance from the Online manufacturers
