ink cartidge monitor

i have replaced my empty hp ink cartridge with a rymans one compatible for my printer [hp2575 all in one].

prints ok, but the hp software shows the full cartridge as empty is there a way to get it to get this to show ink levels.

tried running all the printer tools all ok.

Is afudge in the printer set up that counts pages, and decided that so many pages = 1 cartridge, even if you only one or two lines per page.


There are ways and means of resetting the monitor/ counters.
Epsons for example can be reset by pressing a button sequence at switch on, or by downloading a Freeware management utility.
It is likely that such a fix is possible with HP's

thanks, the link did not help but the ink monitor was spot on with the ink running out.
