HP A6511 desktop- any good

  mehtdosa11 19:23 01 Jan 2009

i'm looking for a fairly cheap desktop box. i've seen this hp offered for 238.38.

it seems a pretty good deal, amd athlon dual-core, 2gb memory, 320gb hardrive. i know it's not the fastest or latest but i'm not a gamer, just for regular use. i'll probably dual boot on it with linux, and bump up the memory to 4gb.i have a monitor already, so just the box will do.
i'm just wondering if anybody else has this model and has any opinions on it [or something similar]

HP products are highly rated. I don't own one myself but a friend has had a couple and been very satisfied with HP support. For a full specification click here

The CPU is not the best but, that apart, it looks more than adequate for routine use.

I've got one, it's very good. Don't forget to add VAT £238.38 + VAT £274.14.
