Just bought two items through ebay and paid through Paypal. Have I done the right thing? I am sure there are people here who have used this payment method before. Reassure me someone?

So it's a little late to be wondering if you've done the right thing.

PayPal is one of the world's largest online payment companies, and they process millions of transactions each week. I'm sure you have no reason to feel insecure about this.

Ok, thanks. Just that I have never used it before.

Don't worry...

BUT do worry about e-mail scams that claim to be from PayPal.

Do not send any information about your account via e-mail, and dont click links in e-mails to paypal.

Only ever enter data by going to w w w . p a y p a l . c o m

and great if you're buying, but the charges if you're selling have to be watched

As a regular eBayer, I don't use it if I'm selling - a colleague had problems getting his cash out of the system, so that, coupled with their charges, swayed me not to use it.

Personal choice, of course, & you can ask your buyers to pay the commission.

Just my 2 ha'pence worth.
