Have you tried unistalling & reinstalling Firefox? Latest version if required click here, though you can update it from within the application.

Safari have had some security issues that they've fixed for the time being by the looks of it click here. I was thinking of trying it today but came across a not-so-glowing independent review from a Mac user himself click here. No harm in trying it to see how YOU get on.

Another alternative is the excellent free Opera click here. G

There is a fairly new browser called Flock available and worth considering. Google for free downloads and reviews.

Personally, I use Iceweasel, a derivative of Firefox in Linux, but Opera is a competent browser for Windows if Firefox is giving you problems.

Just out of interest, it is the ONLY browser currently able to pass the Acid3 test: click here

If you're interested, click here to download the latest version.

It is also available for other platforms such as Linux, MAC, Solaris and others.
