Hi,

I'm looking for a laptop less than £500 that would be suitable for Sims 3, facebook games and possibly also World Of Warcraft at a push. I dont want a high end one as I already have a desktop, this is just for me to play games on while at work/my boyfriends.

I did find this one slightly over budget: click here the fact it comes pre-installed with mcafee is a deal breaker for me.

I'm not as savvy as I used to be with computers so I was hoping some kind person/people would be able to point me in the right direction or give me some tips/pointers on comparing processors, graphics cards etc.

Many thanks to any help you can offer.

If it helps (sorry was at work earlier), the system req for sims 3 are:

CPU: (XP) 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent; (Vista/7) 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent [If built-in graphics chipsets then 2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent.] CPU Speed: (XP) 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent; (Vista/7) 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent [If built-in graphics chipsets then 2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent.] RAM: (XP) 1 GB RAM; (Vista/7) 1.5 GB RAM [If built-in graphics then add 0.5 GB additional RAM] Video Card: 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 or above / ATI Radeon 9500 or above / Intel GMA 3-series or above)

Being honest its the graphics cards that flummox me!

I'm pretty good at getting good prices/discounts on stuff so even laptops slightly more expensive I'd be willing to consider if it would make a huge difference in performance.
