HDTV advice required

Hi

I'm thinking of buying a 26" HDTV... it's main use will be to hook up my XBox360 and possibly/probably as a PC monitor.

Anyone got any advice?

I'm thinking of the Samsung LE26M51B (8ms response, 800:1 dynamic contrast, and 500cd/m2 brightness) - but I'm having a hard time justifying the 700+ price tag.

Anyone using an 26" HDTV in the £550 price bracket with their XBox360's or for fast moving games on their PC?

Thanks

You will still need additional equipment to receive HD broadcasts.

Thanks for the links Stuartli.

Initially I plan to use the integrated analogue tuner, or my PC's TV card for watching 'old style' TV and I'll have to put up with the poor upscaling of these broacasts (and if the rumours are true, watching SkyHD may be an expensive proposition so I won't be swapping for a while!)

If you add an HD compatible £50 PCI TV card such as a Twinhan DVB-ter Digital+Analogue (D+A)....:-)

Now don't start tempting me with fancy low response monitors, Stuartli!! :-)

Before I know it the credit card will be hammered with an HDTV AND an upgrade to my existing 17" TFT!!

I think you mean the other way round....:-)

The two will be cheaper than a 26in HDTV by the way...:-)
