German language CD's

can anyone recommend a easy to use German language cd. It is for a total beginer to learn the basics, the user is not very computer literate so it needs to be simple to use.

I have a programme which I bought for my daughter 'Smart Start German' it has 30 subjects and there are games etc to help you learn. Cost me about £15 last year sometime in PCWorld Vey easy to use.

We started with Easy Language which I think was on the front cover of one of the VERY early PCAdvisor magazines.

My daughter is now 20 and at University Near Stuttgart.

I already speak German and French but my main comment would be: Have you tried your local library? They do lots of foreign language course CDs. The one I am thinking of is "Breakthrough German" it is an introductory course and comes with 4 CDs and books. It is by someone called Ruth Rach.
