I am interested in the above card. I note that it appears to be the best mid range card, even better than the ATI X800 GTO2. Does anyone know whether you need a high rated PSU to run it?.In addition is it powered through the PCIE or is additional power needed from the PSU ?.

It requires extra power from the PSU.

The one's I looked at on click here specifically mention requiring an ATX v2.0 compliant PSU.

I have one of those and it does indeed require an additional power connector. It really is a very good card. I have mine overclocked to 500MHz GPU and 1.15GHz memory clock, raising frame rates about 15% compared to stock speeds, 425MHz and 1GHz. Stability is rock solid and it still runs cool.
