Gateway - after sales service

Has anyone had any experience of Gateway's after sales service/warranty (good or bad)?

I've recently purchased a GM5946b from Comet and am, thus far, very pleased with it. (The monitor was purchased separately elsewhere).
I contacted customer services at Gateway, via their "Live Chat" system, in order to ascertain whether I could purchase an additional, similar - for cosmetic reasons, DVD Rom drive and they were very quick to respond.
