Gaming Self build ... sort of.

I am considering the "mix-it" bundle from Scan for a gaming PC. I'd be grateful for opinions on the parts. Do they seem value for money.
The bundle price is £512.

1TB Samsung SATA 3Gb/s, 7200rpm, 32MB Cache

500W Ezcool PSU Silent 80mm Fan 24pin+4pin ATX v2.03 (OEM)

6GB (3x2GB) CorsairXMS3, DDR3 PC3-10666 (1333)

Intel i7 920, D0 SLEBJ S1366, Nehalem, 2.66 GHz, QPI 4.8GT/s, 8MB Cache, 20x Ratio, 130W, Retail

MSI X58 PRO, Intel X58, 1366, PCI-E 2.0(x16) SLi, Triple DDR3 1066/1333/1600, SATA 3Gb/s, RAID/eSATA

Samsung SH-S223Q/BEWE 22x DVD±R, 8x DVD±DL, DVD+RW x8/-RW x6, x12 RAM SATA L/scribe

Scan Black Floppy Disk +Int Combo All in 1 Card Reader Fits 3.5" Bay USB2

Xclio Propeller Midi Tower Case with 36cm Quiet Fan on Side Pane w/o PSU

I'll be adding (probably)a XFX GTX275 costing an additional £168. I've pre-ordered Win7.

This will be my only major outlay for a PC in the next 4-5 years

For a gaming rig based around your components I would....

Uprate the PSU to 800W minimum, 80+ & SLI certified. This will allow for an SLi upgrade in the future without havng to replace the PSU

Put two 250GB hard drives in RAID 0, then have a larger backup drive for file storage.

Pick and chose your CPU cooler. Spend a little more now and give yourself some overhead to overclock your newly built beast!

Thanks OTT_Buzzard. I'm substituting a Powercool 850W 80plus.
