Flatbed scanner for negatives, not good. Better to get a dedicated film scanner like the one I have 1800u from Jessops at around £129 when I bought it but now £89.90. Go to click here select scanners and look at 1800u. Also scans transparency's

I would go along with ennuye and purchase a dedicated film scanner, I have the primefilm 1800U from Jessops and it gives excellent results. I have tried scanning off an HP 3970 and a Microtech flat bed scanner both with film adaptors and the results were not good. I used the 1800U to scan some forty year old slides and some dark Kodak film negatives and was very impressed with the results.
