Finding A Compatible Processor

  GrantM345 22:02 21 Jan 2007

I have a spare ECS RS400-A Mobo, It's compatible with Pentium 4 LGA 775, FSB 800mhz. I've been advised to purchase a 64 bit processor, but i don't know wether it will support it. Im not too bothered, im just looking for a good Pentium 4 processor.
Can anyone find me a compatible processor and a price? I've had trouble with compatibility issues before.
It also claims to have both AGP and PCI-E slots, I currently have an AGP
gfx card in my current comp, does this mean that i can put my AGP into this board and upgrade it to PCI-E in the future?
I just need to make sure everything i buy will be compatible.

Here's some links to info about the board:

This mobo will ony take the Pentium P4 500 series LGA775's. I'm not sure if they are 32bit or 64bit but they are getting pretty rare now. Overclockers still sell them. click here

As it has an AGP slot as well as a PCI-Express slot, you can use your current AGP card then replace it with a PCI-Express card, but you can't use both at the same time.

but it should take some 600 model P4 cpu's.

The 672 being the best one. 672 specs. click here

e-buyer have a 630 that will fit yours click here. Not the fastest, but will fit. Socket LGA 775
