External hard drive- seagate or western digital

I am looking to buy and external hard drive, but don't need massive capacity. Am looking at these 2 which can be found at exactly the same price:

Seagate Freeagent Desktop 320gb or
Western Digital Elements 400gb

Having never used one before, is it better just to go for the bigger capacity, or is one make better than the other?
Sorry for such a basic question
Thanks for your time!

If it were me, I would go for the biggest drive for the same price. Both makers are well established. What you have to look at is are they offering the same features, ie same amount of catch for instance. How important are the features offerd to you? Spead etc.

Thanks very much Pamy, that's very helpful. Think I will take your advice too.
