I am considering purchasing the external hard disk in the link above.

Western Digital - External 80GB, USB, 7200 RPM, 2 MB cache, UK plug

The price for disk external Hard Disk is £87.76
I was wonderingif this was a good deal for its specification and are there any hidden 'gremlings' in its specification that I should be aware of?

Thanks a bunch!

If you want to (move &) access it on a win98se or lower pc v hard to do, cant use in dos so not good for HDD copies/backups such as partition magic, even thou usb2 will seem slowerthan other drives, if you can get a ide/sata internal as cheaper and faster.

Try Ebuyer they have customer views and dont del the bad ones! click here

External hard drives seem to get better value the bigger they are for about £20 more you can get 50% extra capacity.

I've got a 250gb maxtor onetouch which is one of my best every purchases. The only thing I have noticed with it is that firewire is only marginally slower than the usb2, but hogs less resources. It is faster than a lot of internal drives.
