My 3 year old TomTom satnav developed a major fault. I contacted TomTom and returned it. They very quickly sent a replacement. Unfortunately this also had a fault (a different fault) and they quickly replaced that. All replacements were free of charge and they paid post and packaging.

The only snag I had was getting a third device updated but that too was quickly solved.

Excellent service from TomTom for an out of standard warranty device.
