Having recently reformatted my P111 to run win xp when I try to start up a connection via Alcatel Speed Touch USB modem (new updated drivers installed)windows crashes instantly. The subsequent 'error message' confirms the following....BC code:dl BCP1:748E4230 BCP2:00000002 BCP3:00000000 BCP4:748B4230
OSVER:5_1_2600 SP:1_0 PRODUCT:768_1

Any ideas why?

You'll probably get more response in the Helproom, as opposed to the lounge. This is where we like to sound off about poor service (often), good service (not often), and offer opinions.

BTW there's a driver issue with xp and w2k when upgrading. You never know prior which device is going to conflict. The only way I've got round it is either to reinstall driver in device manager, or clean uninstall and reboot, then reinstall.
