Hi Everybody My Epson printer has stoped working it's telling me it needs servicing, I have made enquires as to how much it will cost, It would be cheaper to by a new printer, It was working fine until this message came up and then it just stoped working, I have tried reinstalling it but it still won't work, Is there any way around this, Any help would be appreciated.

It means that the waste ink pads are full. Yes, in some cases, it is cheaper to buy a new printer. My R200 did the same thing and I chucked it and bought a new R220. As soon as I got it I performed the "mods" as listed on the Forum. Not had any more problems since.

Having said that, my local Epson repair centre has since told me that they could have "fixed" it for a flat £15 fee. Where did you make enquiries? How much where you quoted?

I believe someone on this forum explained how easy it was to 'service' an Epson. Cannot find the link yet, but I'll keep trying. My Epson may need a service shortly!.

Am also looking for the link. Will post when I find it. Or someone else may beat us to it.
